The Oil Additives business line of Evonik, the world’s leading specialty chemicals manufacturer, organized a seminar co-hosted by ADCO, its distributor in Türkiye. Many managers and experts from the leading companies of the lubricant industry attended the seminar where technical presentations were made that introduced the company’s products and services.
Specializing in versatile additives and high-performance crosslinker products, the German manufacturer Evonik continues its activities in Türkiye with ADCO being the distributor for more than 40 years. In recent months, the company has expanded its cooperation with ADCO to include Georgia, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, in addition to previously operated Azerbaijan and Bulgaria.
ADCO General Manager Selçuk Akat undertook the moderation of the seminar where presentations were made by Evonik’s Oil Additives Southern Europe, Middle East and Africa Business Manager Sebastian Hausi, Oil Additives Technical Service Manager Gaël Mosnier and Lubricant Additives Technical Service Manager Dr. Holger Pletsch.
At the opening speech of the seminar attended by 39 representatives from 22 companies operating in different cities of Türkiye, ADCO General Manager Selçuk Akat said that 2022 was a good year for the lubricants industry. Drawing attention to the increase in production after the pandemic, Akat stated that the Russia-Ukraine War also led to new opportunities for Turkish companies. Expressing that they have expanded their cooperation with Evonik in this period, Selçuk Akat underlined that they are always by their customers’ side in terms of product supply and technical support.
After the opening speech of Selçuk Akat, technical presentations took place. The presentations were made by the company representatives Sebastian Hausi, Dr. Holger Pletsch and Gaël Mosnier, where the laboratory test results and technical performance data of Evonik products were shared.
The consecutive presentations included topics titled “Pour Point Depressant Additives and Product Selection”, “Viscosity Index Improver Additives for Hydraulic Fluids”, “Viscosity Index Improver Additives for Industrial Gear Oils”, “Viscosity Index Improver Additives for Automotive Gear Oils”, which attracted great attention from the participants.
The seminar, in which Lubricant World was the media partner, was followed with a business lunch, where participants had a chance to discuss the sectoral issues and exchange ideas on new business opportunities.
