Since 2007, Koçak Petrol domestically produces and sells lubricants and greases for the weapons, vehicles, machinery and equipment used by the Ministry of National Defense, Naval Forces, Land Forces and Air Force Base Commands. This supports the import substitution strategy in this sector in terms of supply both economically and on a timely basis.
For the lubricant, grease and antifreeze products blended and produced under the Speedol brand, Koçak Petrol has TSE Conformity Certificates as well as OEM approvals from international manufacturers such as Daimler Chrysler (MB), MAN, ZF Friedrichshafen, Cincinnati Milacron/MAG, Denison, Voith, Volvo, Mack, Renault Trucks, MTU and VW. The total number of OEM approvals reaches up to forty five as a result of their joint studies with international OEM manufacturers and the world’s leading additive producers.
Among the lubricant, grease and preparation product groups produced by Koçak Petrol for the defense industry, which support the import substitution policy, include; diesel and gasoline engine oils, two-stroke gasoline engine oils, two-stroke outboard engine oils, marine diesel engine oils, ship lowering lubricants, machine and vehicle greases, manual grease and industrial gear (reducer) oils, compressor oils, metal cutting fluids and oils, heat treatment and heat transfer lubricants, radiator oils, turbine oils, industrial lubricants, radiator cooling fluids and antifreeze, washer liquids, preparative spray products, and special defense industry sector project products.
The company, which is regarded as a leading lubricants and grease producer in the region, designs import substitute products upon the demands of defense industry contractors and in line with the current developments in the sector. It implements the projects in its R&D Center approved by the Ministry of Science, Industry and Technology.
