TOBB Turkey Petroleum and Petroleum Products Industry Assembly convened on July 11th. At the meeting, Murat Bayram, Technology and Technical Services Manager at Petrol Ofisi, was elected as the President of Non-Fuel Products Committee.
The Assembly convened at TOBB building with the participation of President Ahmet Erdem, TOBB Deputy Secretary General Cengiz Delibaş, and Revenue Administration Group Chair Abdullah Kiraz to discuss the latest items on the sector’s agenda.
Detailed information was shared about the pump payment recorder, and sector representatives shared their assessments. It was also discussed to create a working group in this regard. The possibility of using biodiesel in public tenders was evaluated, public agency representatives shared their opinions, and it was underlined that it is important to focus on the quantity and the price in biodiesel.
It was indicated that TSE EN 16942 “Fuel – Display of Vehicle Compatibility – Graphical representation for informing the consumer” standard will become a technical regulation on September 30, 2018. It was also mentioned that a joint work must be conducted on the dangerous substance safety counselor and OHS Expert.
It was stated that the recent decision by EMRA about the national oil stocks is a positive development for the sector. According to this decision, holders of refinery, distributor and LPG distribution licenses can use their 10 days equivalent of the national petroleum stocks, which they are obliged to keep, in market activities in accordance with their licenses on the condition that these amounts shall be substituted until December 31, 2018.
