NYCO’s Turbonycoil® 600 selected for easyJet’s Airbus A320 fleet

NYCO has announced that easyJet, Europe’s leading airline, recently selected Turbonycoil® 600, a synthetic standard turbine oil, for use in its fleet of Airbus A320 family, powered by CFM56-5B engines.

easyJet is currently flying 272 aircraft and expecting deliveries of 100 new A320neos and 30 new A321neos, powered by Leap-1A engines, in the upcoming years. These aircraft will be fitted with Turbonycoil® 600.

Gary Smith, Head of Engineering for easyJet, commented: “NYCO represents a new partner and a new approach for easyJet in how we meet our oil requirements of our CFM56 and brand new LEAP-1A engines. easyJet chose NYCO’s Turbonycoil® 600 after an extensive technical evaluation. We recognise that NYCO’s innovation in oil products delivers on the highest quality standards, whilst also meeting on the cost focus of our business. We look forward to working with NYCO.”

André Chater, Head of Sales & Marketing for civil aviation at NYCO added: “We are happy to start collaborating with a successful airline like easyJet. It shows confidence in our products, in our logistic system and our customer support.”

Approved against demanding specifications, including SAE AS5780 SPC Class and MIL-PRF-23699 G STD Class, Turbonycoil® 600 has received certification for use by all major engine manufacturers. It has logged more than 30 years of experience in jet engines of military and commercial aircraft.
