Would you briefly describe general company overview of NYCO, activities since establishment and markets covered?

NYCO is a French independent and privately-owned company, expert in the development and manufacture of high-performance lubricants and synthetic ester bases for several market including Civil Aviation, Defence and Automotive.

Everything started back in 1959 when French President Charles de Gaulle asked for a “made in France” engine oil for the Mirage III fighter aircraft. With now more than 60 years field experience in the aeronautics business and pioneer research in the development of turbine oil, NYCO has become a key partner for MROs, OEMs, airlines, armed forces and aero derivative gas turbines users around the world.

We offer a wide range of lubricants for aircrafts; helicopters; as well as air, land & marine military equipment; qualified under civil and military international specifications and approved by major OEMs such as engine manufacturers and aircraft manufacturers.

What are the latest successes of NYCO in Civil Aviation?

2022 has been a very dynamic year for NYCO. First of all, we have been selected by Airbus to provide turbine oils and greases to all their worldwide sites (Airbus Commercial, Airbus Helicopters and Airbus Defence & Space). This is a huge step in the trust of the performance of our product, also allowing operators to receive their brand-new aircraft with NYCO products pre-filled at Airbus Final Assembly Lines.

On the other hand, we also improved our lubricants qualifications coverage with Embraer E-Jets, E-Jets E2 & ERJ 145 as well as GE CF6 very soon for our Turbonycoil® 600. In early 2023 we have added and renewed several supply agreements with major Airlines such as Vueling, flydubai, Iberia and also our 70th Airline Play now flying thanks to our Turbonycoil® 600!

NYCO quality with ADCO assurance in Türkiye

NYCO carries out its activities in Türkiye together with its sole authorized distributor ADCO. Emphasizing that NYCO’s strength in aviation comes from being a synthetic ester bases manufacturer, ADCO General Manager Selçuk Akat makes the following assessment about his business partner:

“NYCO is among the global leaders of the lubricants business in aerospace, industry and defense. We have been working with NYCO in these 3 sectors since 1996. The company is Europe’s only aviation lubricant manufacturer. NYCO carries out all production in-house, from alcohol to synthetic esters. Maintaining this production in its own integrated facility makes it even more important. We are proud to represent NYCO and bring it together with Türkiye’s leading corporations. We are happy to supply quality products to the leading companies of the Turkish Armed Forces and Turkish civil aviation.”
