New president of IKMIB is Adil Pelister

Istanbul Chemicals and Chemical Products Exporters’ Association (IKMIB) election results are announced for presidency. 1273 delegates participated in the elections and 1154 votes were valid. Adil Pelister, Chairman of the Board of BETA Kimya, became the new president of IKMIB with 613 votes in favor.

Adil Pelister promises to be the voice of the entire chemical industry including all sub-sectors with the slogan “We are strong together”. He will work for adding further value to the sector with five showcase projects. Pelister and the management team promise to bring permanent solutions to the problems of exporters and will bring the chemical industry to second place in the export business with many innovative projects such as taking the lower limit for green passport to 100 thousand dollars, ensuring exporters’ easy access to finance, and establishing a Digital Trading Platform.

Pelister said, “We will reconsider all the problems of the chemical industry in terms of exports and we will eliminate the difficulties faced by our exporters with our permanent solutions. We will take this union to the future with innovative projects that our industry needs. We will start a new era in which we will add value to the chemistry sector as a single body with all our sub-sectors. We will build the future of our exporters together with the strength we have from the past. We will be fair, transparent, and most importantly, active. We will realize great projects that will make the industry leap forward with an understanding of management, which listens to everyone, raises ideas, and act as one. We are thankful to all our members who participated in the elections, and we promise to be the management for all delegates regardless of their votes.”
