Countdown to UNITI 2024 Mineral Oil Technology Forum

In a few weeks’ time, the lubricants industry will once again meet in Stuttgart, Germany for the UNITI Mineral Oil Technology Forum (UMTF) between 16-17 April 2024. After helding the event for the last two years in the summer due to the coronavirus, UMTF is pleased to welcome its visitors back in April for the first time. The program of the Forum includes 2 preliminary seminars, the Congress, exhibition and networking sessions.

Specialists of the lube and fuel sector as well as experts of the mechanical engineering and automotive industry will gather at the international UNITI Mineral Oil Technology Congress to discuss current trends and future developments in the industry. The topics include the most recent industry trends of lubricants and fuels from research to practical applications.

On 15th of April prior to the Congress, 2 pre-seminars will be hosted by NYNAS and BASF. Nynas will present the topic of “Technologies, challenges and sustainability in the lubricants industry” in German. BASF will address a broad range of topics aimed at supporting its customers in delivering leading sustainable solutions for the automotive industry in English. Both preliminary seminars will be free to attend to Congress participants, with the number of participants being limited.

The Congress will take place between 16-17 April with key speakers from leading lubricant industry companies, such as ExxonMobil, BASF, Chevron Oronite, Lubrizol, Infineum, Fuchs, Afton, Evonik, Nynas and representatives from OEMs, such as Toyota, Volvo, Deutz and Flender.

The first day of the Congress will start with the opening speech of the UNITI Manager Lubricants/Mineral Oil Technology Edwin Leber and continue with current fuel topics before focussing on the latest new developments from the additives and lubricants sector. As Leber states, “The programme also reflects the link between fuel and lubricant topics. For example, there are new requirements for lubricants and operating fluids for the hydrogen combustion engine or for hybrid vehicles. The trend towards ever more specific and customised requirements combined with efficiency increases is continuing for both automotive and industrial lubricants.”

Networking breaks during the Congress and a get-together evening will offer further possibilities for expert discussions. While strengthening the relations and dialogue between stakeholders, the event offers a great potential for developing new business relations.
