T he Petroleum Industry Association (PETDER) has published data on lubricant consumption and collected waste motor oil for the January-December period of 2016. The report indicates that lubricant consumption increased by 5.70 percent in 2016 compared to the previous year, from 300 thousand 704 tons to 317 thousand 835 tons. The amount of waste motor oil collected by PETDER in the January-December period of 2016 increased by 7.22 percent compared to the same period of the previous year and rose from 17 thousand 801 tons to 19 thousand 185 tons. Car services are the largest source of waste motor oil According to the distribution of collected waste motor oil; car services are placed on the top with 13 thousand 59 tons, followed by industrial vehicle parks with 1831 tons, construction and mining with 1206 tons, municipalities with 898 tons, military institutions with 873 tons, public institutions with 839 tons, transport companies with 193 tons, fuel stations with 152 tons, and washing and lubricating stations with 17 tons.
