NYNAS is working to sustain global development. The proof of which is that among other things, we have also launched several future-oriented products that support our customers’ long-term sustainability efforts. The common points of these products are that they can be used for a very long time, as well as other products in our portfolio, and are generally fully recyclable.

Our new, unique, biological-based products reflect our particular interest in our goal of contributing to sustainable development. This spring, we launched our NYTEX® BIO 6200 product. Although this product has a lower CO2 footprint, it offers the same high performance as other Nynas tyre oils in terms of rolling resistance, durability and other features. In the fall, we introduced NYTRO® BIO 300X, the world’s first bio-based and high-performance transformer fluid.
The launch of the NYTRO BIO 300X, which is 100% renewable, is based on years of intensive research work. As a result of these researches, a fluid was developed that provides exceptional cooling thanks to its ultra-low viscosity, as well as combining superior oxidation stability and ready biodegradability.
An important step in implementing our ongoing expansion plans is the investments made during the closure of the refinery in Nynäshamn last spring due to extensive maintenance. One of these investments is the installation of new reactor parts in one of the hydrogenation plants, which enables us to produce certain products much faster than before. We are also working to increase our raw material flexibility, and accordingly we are testing new raw materials in Harburg and Nynäshamn. This flexibility program will support our future growth.
