Established in 1998 with its own resources, Özerşah grew with Türkiye’s enthusiasm for domestic production and achieved an impressive success story. The company, which currently has 2 factories and an annual production capacity of 90.000 m3, is among the ambitious players in the lubricant industry, offering a wide range of products to its customers under the brands Monex, Woil, Hexon and Ring.
Increasing its sales volume with a distributor network covering all 81 provinces domestically, Özerşah also contributes to the country’s economy by exporting to more than 50 countries across 3 continents.
We had an interview with Muhammed Enes Arvas, the CEO of Özerşah about company’s activities and future goals.
Could you please tell us about the general profile of your company?
Özerşah, was established in 1998 with its own resources to operate in the field of import and export of petroleum and petrochemical products. During those times, the low level of industrialization in our country in this field encouraged us to invest in the products we import and export. The main idea that actually led us to this mindset was to reduce external dependency to some extent by producing qualified products. In early 2000s, with this motivation, the foundation of our first factory was laid, and subsequently, our production activities began. Over time, our other production facility was also established and put into operation.
Our factories, located in Adana Organized Industrial Zone and Kocaeli/Dilovasi GEBKIM Chemical Specialized Organized Industrial Zone, are each built on an average area of 10.000 m2, consisting of 6.000 m2 enclosed spaces. We have total annual capacity of 90.000 m3. We carry out production with high-tech fully automated machinery and equipment, along with our qualified expert personnel. From labeling to filling, capping to coding sealing to packaging, we complete our processes using machines and robots without any manual intervention.
In which field does Özerşah operate with which brands?
As Özerşah, we manufacture hundreds of products such as automotive, industrial lubricants, engine oils, hydraulic oils, auto care products, greases, antifreezes, marine oils and many more. As of today, we provide services to our customers under the brands of Monex, Woil, Hexon and Ring. All four of our brands are at the same level in the terms of quality. We offer our brands as competitors to each other with a friendly competition, both domestically and internationally, enabling our dealers to create flexible sales strategies.

Could you tell us about the services that you provide to your customers?
If we are starting to work with a new customer, first we invite them to our factories to witness how the products are manufactured and the environment in which they are produced. Because we believe that production facilities are not private areas, but exhibition areas. Fancy catalogs and flashy websites can only be the showcase of the store. What matters is what is behind the showcase, that is, inside the store. Our customers’ demands, suggestions, recommendations, and even complaints are very valuable to us. Because even though we are the producers, they represent the direct touchpoint with the field. Therefore, their thoughts and ideas encourage us to improve, change, and transform in terms of production. Whether it is domestically or internationally, we always strive to visit our customers at their own premises from time to time, taking our relationship to a higher level in business and aiming to become like a family.
How do you incorporate sustainability and circular economy principles into your production process?
Our factory located in GEBKIM Chemical Specialized Industrial Zone was constructed in a manner suitable for the installation of a rooftop Solar Energy System (SES) during the roof design phase. By installing solar panels, we will reach a point where we can generate our own electricity by 2024. Additionally, we have implemented a negative pressure siphonic rainwater drainage system to collect rainwater for washing and garden irrigation purposes, storing it in our underground tank with a capacity of 500 m3. We make an effort to use more environmentally friendly raw materials and additives in our products. Additionally, we prefer using high-quality recycled materials for labels, boxes, containers, and even pallets. We make maximum effort in terms of environmental cleanliness and order.

Do you have a laboratory and R&D center in your facility? If so, what kind of work do you conduct in-house?
We have fully equipped laboratories and R&D centers in our facilities. We use highly precise machines and devices produced by leading companies in the field, which are internationally recognized and meet high standards. With the advancements in technology every day, the machinery and automotive sector are rapidly transforming. In our centers, our expert colleagues are engaged in regular and continuous work to meet evolving needs. We are working to develop more environmentally friendly products or products that can withstand harsh climate conditions for extended periods. Additionally, we aim to enhance the performance of our existing products.
Could you please tell us about the ongoing projects that you are currently working on?
As it is known, the localization rate in our country’s defense industry has reached very high levels. In our field, we are conducting studies to reduce external dependency by addressing the needs of these domestically produced products. In this field, we continue our efforts in the production of niche products through knowledge exchange with TUBITAK, the leading institution in our country. We believe that in a short period of time, we will reach the desired and targeted point in the production of such specialized products.
Özerşah aims to contribute to Türkiye’s current account deficit by producing for the rapidly developing domestic industry’s needs.
What are the short-term and medium-term targets of Özerşah?
We prioritize exports. Our foreign trade department is working systematically and strategically to expand into new regions in addition to the existing ones we can reach. In this regard, we strive to participate as exhibitors or visitors in both domestic and international trade fairs. We also attend national and international training sessions and seminars. We plan visits to target countries. With these and similar efforts, we strive to reach as many customers as possible. Therefore, our top priority is export. In addition, like any manufacturer, we also aim to grow further and provide more employment opportunities. We strive to deliver high-quality products and services to our country, customers and stakeholders.
