Recognized as the leading event in the Russian lubricant industry as well as the lubricant market of CIS and Eastern Europe, Global Lubricant Week is held for 15 years and it will take place in Moscow between 13 and 16 October 2020 this year. We discussed the success and history of the event with Pavel Kartashov, Business Development Director at RPI, the organizing company.
Global Lubricant Week has been organized for many years and it is one of key industry events. What makes it an important gathering platform? Can you please give us some information about the event?
GLW has grown up together with the Russian lubricant industry and Russian lubricant companies in 15 years and it is now an inalienable part of the industry. It has clearly shown that the most important topics can be broadly analyzed and discussed by speakers and participants. Worldwide trends and special Russian matters were and are covered every year. Participants know that they will meet industry stakeholders, decision-makers, lubricant formulators and will be able to ask questions, get answers, exchange experiences and ideas.
Who does the event target? Who will be among the participants?
GLW is clearly targeted at all industry members from C-level managers to lubricants formulators, from senior OEM engineers to test labs specialists. All companies are welcome, especially lubricant additives suppliers, test labs and institutes, OEMs – automotive and industrial, large customers and those from supply chain. Such a mix enables to cover the whole industry and its topics vary from additives delivery to finished lubricants packaging, from general additives development to customer-specific lube solutions.
Which subjects will be in focus?
At every event we get a broad review of latest world and Russian trends in mobility, lubricants standards and requirements, automotive market development, retails and general market situation. Additive companies present latest solutions for oil companies and the latter present their competence in solving end customer issues with new lubricants. Lubricant technology and supply chain is also covered from raw materials situation to latest retail e-marketing examples. Last but not least is coverage of greases technology, testing and development.
What will be the impact of the event? What do you expect from the event?
GLW is well-known as the leading industry communication platform. Every industry needs a place where its members may gather, connect and openly talk without borders and time zones. We cannot underestimate the importance of GLW – its participants leave with new knowledge, experience, ideas and plans.
