BASF Kids’ Lab is a free event which aims to endear 6-12 age group kids to chemistry and science, allowing them to conduct interactive and entertaining experiments with harmless materials under supervision of private tutors. This year, Kids’ Lab was initiated on March 6-9, and will be open to visitors for four days a month throughout the year at Istanbul Modern.
BASF, attaching great importance to scientific education and acting with the responsibility in this respect, points out that today’s students will be tomorrow’s thinkers, innovators and leaders. Children In the 6-12 age group can participate free of charge in this special laboratory event developed by BASF on the basis of the company’s mission that adopts the principle of creating chemistry for a sustainable future.
Within the scope of the Kids’ Lab project, aiming to encourage children to love chemistry and science with experiments from the daily life, offers a great opportunity to children to learn more about chemistry, to see, feel and experience chemistry through safe and tangible methods. When children visit Kids’ Lab, they first make interactive experiments with harmless materials under the supervision of private tutors, and then receive educational gifts from BASF.
BASF’s Kids’ Lab project was awarded the “Social Impact Practices” by the Corporate Responsibility Association of Turkey in 2012. The project was also a finalist at Sabre Awards and European Excellence Awards, where global public relations projects were nominated.
