Turkey’s second largest company: Petrol Ofisi

Petrol Ofisi, leading company in Turkish fuel and lubricants industry, took the second place with turnover of $ 30.8 billion in the Capital 500 list, which ranks 500 of the largest corporations in the Turkish private sector. 

This year the 19th Capital 500 list was announced, and as one of Turkey’s biggest assets Petrol Ofisi took its spot with its $ 30.8 billion turnover and 1,521,466,000 TL export value. Having the largest fuel chain in Turkey with its more than 1,700 stations, Petrol Ofisi has 9 fuel and 3 LPG terminals, 20 airport supply units and 1 lubricant plant. Petrol Ofisi has a sales volume of 114,000 tons of lubricants and chemicals and a storage capacity of approximately 1.1 million m³.

Selim Şiper, CEO of Petrol Ofisi, received the award at the Capital 500 Award Ceremony held in Istanbul on December 28, and pointed out the importance of determining the rankings with concrete figures. “The Capital 500 list is not based on any comment or approach; it is created only with numbers. Everything is clear, transparent and obvious. Besides, this ranking, comprising of private sector companies, shows the contributions to our country, the value created here in Turkey. In this sense, this list is a platform of honor for the Turkish private sector. As Petrol Ofisi, we are glad to be a part of this significant platform and compete for the top of this list steadily,” said Mr. Şiper.
