The world’s leading trade fair brand in the automotive aftermarket industry, Automechanika is hosting its one and only event in Türkiye. Automechanika Istanbul will take place on June 8-11, 2023 at the Istanbul TUYAP Fair and Congress Center. The event, in which Lubricant World is also among the media partners, will bring together automotive production and repair professionals from three continents.

Istanbul, the meeting point of continents and cultures, is thrilled to host a massive event that brings together the entire automotive industry. Automotive giants operating in Europe, the Middle East, North Africa, and the CIS region are coming to Automechanika Istanbul to showcase their new products, strengthen relationships with existing customers, and solidify their positions in the market by establishing new business connections.

As Lubricant World, we are also among the media partners of the event, which will be attended by hundreds of domestic and foreign companies and tens of thousands of visitors. During the 4-day event, we will have the pleasure of meeting our subscribers and advertisers at our booth, talking about the developments in the lubricant industry, and contributing to potential collaborations.

We are participating in Automechanika Istanbul with a comprehensive and engaging content. In this issue we visit the factory of Özerşah, located in Kocaeli/ Dilovasi GEBKIM Chemical Specialized Industrial Zone, which offers a wide range of products to their customers, particularly in automotive sector, under the Monex, Woil, Hexon and Ring brands. During our visit, we have a chance to get information about the company’s operations from the CEO Muhammed Enes Arvas. Özerşah’s enthusiasm for domestic production, R&D efforts, and export initiatives are adding dynamism not only to the automotive sector but also to the Turkish economy.

The transition to a circular economy, which is among the priority issues for Türkiye, as well as the rest of the world, is a comprehensive and multi-stakeholder process that requires collaboration between government, local authorities, private sector, civil society and citizens. During our conversation with Mehmet Afşin, the Chairman of the Board of TAYRAŞ, one of the most important stakeholders and pioneers in the lubricant sector, we focus on waste oil management and gain valuable insights that expand our vision.

In this issue Clement Fabre, EMEA Head of Sales & Marketing at NYCO, one of the leading players in aviation lubricants, shares the company’s new initiatives in the civil aviation field. Additionally, we have a interview with Harald Oosting, President and CEO of Olyslager, regarding the data and consultancy services they offer to the lubricant sector.

The summer sun is starting to shine on us, warming our spirits after the challenges we have faced as a country. During these days, annual vacations, holiday plans and weekend getaways will help us to recharge our energy and relieve stress. Here comes the time when we have the opportunity to rest, have fun and renew ourselves. We warmly greet the new summer season and wish everyone to enjoy it!
