Chevron Oronite and Azelis South Africa have reached a new milestone in their long-standing partnership by announcing the local production of Chevron Oronite’s PARATONE® 24EX viscosity modifier in South Africa.
The initiative is expected to enhance supply continuity, shorten delivery times and strengthen additive formulation capabilities for lubricant manufacturers across the region. Local manufacturing will also support a more resilient supply chain and improve responsiveness to customer demand in the African market.
Based on Chevron Oronite’s proven olefin copolymer (OCP) technology, PARATONE® 24EX delivers reliable viscosity performance across a wide temperature range. Its high ethylene content provides efficient thickening and excellent shear stability, supporting the development of durable, high-performance lubricant formulations.
