Türkiye’s most prestigious defense industry event, IDEF 2025 – The 17th International Defense Industry Fair, will open its doors at the Istanbul Expo Center on July 22nd. Hosted by the Ministry of National Defense, supported by the Presidency of Defense Industries, and organized by the Turkish Armed Forces Foundation, the fair will take place from July 22nd to 27th this year.
IDEF 2025 is set to welcome over 1,000 exhibitors from more than 80 countries and nearly 100,000 visitors. To be held across 11 exhibition halls, the fair will feature hundreds of products, including land, sea, air, and space defense systems, electronic warfare solutions, unmanned vehicles, missile systems, and military software.
Noteworthy products making their debut at this year’s fair include:
- ALPİN-2: Türkiye’s unmanned helicopter, now more powerful and efficient with its upgraded engine.
- SEYİT 6×6 and Kia LTV: Anadolu Defense’s latest tactical vehicle offerings.
- Armor Integrity: A cutting-edge situational awareness system for armored platforms.
- GÖKÇERİ: A domestically developed weather balloon capable of remaining airborne for up to 10 days.
- TALAY: A production-ready, low-altitude, multi-purpose UAV.
ASELSAN will unveil nine next-generation technologies, including radar systems, electro-optical solutions, and Türkiye’s Layered Air Defense System “Steel Dome.” Meanwhile, METEKSAN will present its field-proven innovations in electronic warfare, underwater acoustic systems, and GNSS technologies.
The final two days of the fair, July 26 and 27, will be open to the public. Citizens who register via the IDEF mobile app will have the opportunity to witness Türkiye’s advancements in defense technologies firsthand.
Presidency of Defense Industries Director Haluk Görgün emphasized that IDEF 2025 is not merely a trade fair, but a global platform showcasing Türkiye’s unwavering commitment to the defense industry. This year, the fair’s duration has been extended from four to six days, offering a more inclusive experience.
