Lubricant Expo Europe, one of the key meeting points for the European lubricants industry, will take place from 15–17 September 2026 at Messe Düsseldorf, Germany. Held in Hall 10, the event will bring together lubricant manufacturers, base oil and additive suppliers, technology providers, OEMs and end users.
With more than 280 exhibitors expected to participate this year, the event will address a wide range of topics shaping the transformation of the lubricants industry. The conference programme will focus on base oil supply and sourcing risks, sustainability, re-refined base oils (RRBO), electrification, grease technologies and next-generation lubrication solutions.
Sustainability and Electrification in Focus
Sustainability will be one of the key themes of Lubricant Expo Europe 2026. Discussions will cover increasing the use of RRBO, circularity and carbon footprint reduction, as well as the impact of European regulations such as REACH, PFAS and CLP on the industry.
The transformation of the automotive sector will also be high on the agenda. As hybrid and electric vehicles continue to expand, the event will explore emerging lubrication and thermal management requirements, along with new application areas such as immersion cooling.
The conference programme will also address emerging technologies, including the use of artificial intelligence in lubricant manufacturing and supply chains, digitalisation and digital twins.
New Products and Technologies on Display
The exhibition floor will showcase a broad range of products and solutions, including lubricants, base oils, additives, greases, production and testing equipment, as well as condition monitoring and lubrication management technologies. The Innovation Awards, being held for the first time in 2026, will also highlight innovative products and technologies from across the industry.
Taking place over three days, Lubricant Expo Europe 2026 is set to provide industry professionals with an opportunity to follow current market conditions and gain insights into the technologies and regulatory developments shaping the future of the European lubricants industry.
