The Turkish Petroleum Industry and E-Mobility Association (PETDER) celebrated its 30th anniversary with a gala dinner attended by senior representatives of its member companies. Held at the Istanbul Hilton Bosphorus, the evening highlighted PETDER’s 30-year journey and the transformation of the energy sector.
Founded in 1996, the Turkish Petroleum Industry and E-Mobility Association (PETDER) celebrated its 30th anniversary with a gala dinner held at the Istanbul Hilton Bosphorus on 25 September 2026.
Bringing together senior representatives of the fuel distribution sector, the event featured a 30th anniversary film highlighting PETDER’s journey from its establishment to the present day.
In his speech at the event, PETDER Chairman of the Board Mehmet Abbasoğlu said:
“As PETDER, we are proud and happy to have completed 30 years. Today, with a sector size exceeding TRY 2.2 trillion, employment provided to more than a quarter of a million people, and an indirect tax pool exceeding TRY 880 billion, we look to the future with confidence. As one of Türkiye’s most broadly represented industry associations, our foremost priority is to move forward together with our members by pursuing a growth strategy focused on predictable and modern development, along a path that contributes to our country’s energy transition agenda.”
Currently representing approximately 87% of the fuel distribution sector, PETDER brings together leading companies operating in fuel, LPG, lubricants and e-mobility under one roof. The association continues its activities with the aim of leveraging its members’ collective knowledge and experience in industry initiatives, producing reliable and impartial information, representing the sector’s views on relevant platforms, and contributing to the healthy development of the market.
