Automechanika Istanbul, one of the leading trade fairs with the widest participation not only in Türkiye but also worldwide, will open its doors at Istanbul TUYAP Fair and Congress Center between May 23 – 26, 2024. The fair, which made a name for itself on a global scale, thanks to Istanbul’s unique location bringing together the European, Middle Eastern and Central Asian markets, will once again witness innovative ideas and exciting collaborations that inspire the industry.
The carbon-free future targeted by the European Green Deal is rapidly changing the dynamics of the automotive industry and offers unique opportunities to companies operating in the sector. During this transition period, companies that follow the technological trends, developments and new applications and are aware of the experiences of their stakeholders, are learning to adapt to new conditions and gaining a competitive advantage. Automechanika Istanbul, which brings together the automotive after-sales industry, is held with increasing participation every year, reflecting the changing vision and dynamism of the sector.
Automechanika Istanbul is one of the fairs where the lubricants industry also attracts interest and high participation. Rexoil, which has broken records by being among the top 5 in lubricant exports for 7 years and has won the “Star of Export” award given by IKMIB repeatedly with its consistent success, will also strengthen its business connections by participating in Automechanika Istanbul. Just before the fair, we visited Rexoil General Manager Mr. Aydın Özbey and talked about Automechanika preparations. We visited the company’s facility in Tuzla Birlik OIZ, gained valuable information from the team members and brought what we learned to our pages.
The lubricant industry’s transition to a circular economy is a multi-stakeholder process. One of the pioneers of this process is TAYRAŞ, which operates Türkiye’s f irst and only refinery that produces high quality base oil from end-of-life used lubricants using hydro-treatment technology. The company, which transforms the technological innovation into value-added products and knowledge base, through R&D and innovation investments in Türkiye, functions like a training base in terms of qualified employment. In our interview with TAYRAŞ Mechanical Maintenance and Refinery Deputy Manager Mr. Nuri Taşdemir, we discover the factors that affect the success of the company.
In this issue, we also include the writings prepared by our regular and invited expert columnists, on important and trending topics, and the technical articles written by our industry professionals. We do not forget to reflect the commercial developments in the sector with our panorama news. We wish you a pleasant reading, hoping to see you at Automechanika Istanbul, which we, as Lubricant World, attend as media partner.
